Located minutes from the University of Denver and the Cherry Creek shopping district, Hyatt Place Denver Cherry Creek has what you need. The 11-story hotel is a 5-mile drive from downtown Denver, the RTD Light Rail Station and more restaurants than you’ll be able to visit in a lifetime. My Hyatt Place Denver Cherry Creek hotel review will give you the lowdown on this Denver pet-friendly hotel.

Inside Hyatt Place Denver Cherry Creek hotel

The 199 room Denver hotel was originally opened in 1987 as a Loews Hotel. In 2014 the Denver Cherry Creek hotel was converted to a Hyatt Place property. The 4-star Hyatt Place is perfect for business or pleasure with 2 Queen Suites, 1 King Suite and standard hotel rooms. Our November visit offered us 70+ degree weather upon arrival, while it was snowing on our departure. I appreciated the heated hotel entrance while I waited for my husband to bring around the car. There is plenty of self-parking available on property.

Hyatt Hotel Rewards

If you are a World of Hyatt member, you’ll enjoy free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and digital check-in. During COVID times, I prefer contactless check-in options. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, tater tots, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and drinks. Breakfast was available for an additional fee for non-Hyatt guests in the breakfast room by the lobby.

Hyatt Grand king bed

Our Hyatt Place hotel room, #1120, was on the top floor, away from the elevators. The king bed with a mountain view offered a beautiful look at the snow-covered Rocky Mountains, as well as downtown Denver. The hotel features the Hyatt Grand Bed, desk with work center, a 42-inch HDTV and sofa or sofa sleeper.
