Located less than two hours north of Phoenix, Arizona and two hours south of the Grand Canyon, Holiday Inn Express Sedona is an excellent hotel choice for value seekers. The 2-story hotel is situated in Oak Creek off state route 179 and minutes from hiking, biking, dining and shopping. My Holiday Inn Express Sedona Hotel Review will give you insider tips on this dog-friendly Sedona-Oak Creek hotel.
Inside Holiday Inn Express Sedona Oak Creek hotel
The 103-room Sedona hotel includes 8 suites. The 3-star hotel is family-friendly, featuring king beds, double beds and suites. The recently renovated rooms offer a microwave oven, mini-fridge, modern desk area and a lounge chair and small table for taking in the Red Rocks views. Additionally, there is a Keurig coffee maker, ironing board and hair dryer.
The Sedona hotel also gets bonus points from me because the walk-in shower features JR Watkins bath amenities on the shower wall. With so much plastic in the world, Holiday Inn Express, an IHG hotel, has made an effort to be environmentally-friendly by eliminating those tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash that end up in our landfills.
Our Holiday Inn Express Sedona room #225 was a king room offering an eastern sunrise. Seeing as our room was located on the 2nd floor, it was like camping in a hotel room with great views and a very comfortable bed. No need to utilize the black out curtains. The stars are shining in this International Dark Sky community.
Holiday Inn Express Sedona amenities
Any season in Sedona is a wonderful time to visit. Typically about 20 degrees warmer than Flagstaff winters, Sedona, Arizona is a year-round wonderland. The heated swimming pool and hot tub are welcome additions to Holiday Inn Express. Additionally, there is a fitness center and bike repair station.
IHG Hotel Rewards for savvy travelers
If you are not already a member of IHG Rewards, you might want to sign up. Not only is a loyalty program membership free, you’ll be rewarded with points for future hotel stays at any IHG property. Personally, I pay the $200 annual fee to be an IHG Ambassador, as you’ll earn a free weekend overnight stay in any of their properties, in additional to a room upgrade and late check out. I don’t get paid to promote IHG Rewards. However, I’m always happy to share my insider tips for hotel stays to save you money!
Rates vary seasonally. Special rates are offered, including AAA rates. Our king room rented for $153 utilizing the AAA rate. There is a $30 per night dog fee. Parking charge is $5.00 per night.
Holiday Inn Express Hot Breakfast
