When you enter the 26,000 square-foot Lantana Spa with its 30 treatment rooms, a simple red ribbon is presented to you. Following the ritual of the Los Siete Nudos people, the ribbon is a vessel used to carry your stress away. Each knot you add to the ribbon represents a stress you carry. You determine the amount of stress you carry by the number of knots you tie in the ribbon. Drop the ribbon in the silver bowl outside the ladies lounge and prepare to leave your stresses and worries behind.
Signature Lantana Spa Facial
This 50 minute signature spa treatment nourishes your face, while relaxing your body. With its heated spa bed, aromatherapy scents and warm towels placed on your neck, the stress knots of life slowly loosen and eventually slip away.
Next, the esthetician assesses your skin to determine your facial needs, along with your input. Then the gloves come on – not for her – but for you. After a relaxing hand massage your fingers slide into heated mitts. The bliss continues with a mini neck and scalp massage.
Lantana Spa Day
Much too soon, my spa treatment ends, but your spa day may continue. Any spa treatment allows guests access to the spa for the entire day. You may opt to be scrubbed, massaged, wrapped or waxed. Whatever your selection, enjoy the steam room, plunge pools, or simply relax by the adult-only swimming pool. Don’t forget your swim suit.
Insider Tip: you must be 18 years or older to enjoy Lantana Spa.
Needless to say, there are plenty of things to see and do in San Antonio, Texas. My favorite spa treatment is a restorative, relaxing massage. What are your favorite spa treatments?
