Situated on the main street of Saratoga village, Saratoga Oaks Lodge is a charming property tucked back in the quiet side of town.
With 25 rooms to choose from, I’d recommend one of the 11 suites on property. The four bungalow suites are individual cottages.
Wine country in Saratoga
If you are in Saratoga for wine tasting or attending a music concert at Mountain Winery, you might be interested in the “Wine Lover’s Retreat.” The package includes a king room, complimentary passes to Cinnabar Wine Tasting Room and Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards, a 10% discount at a local Saratoga restaurant and late check out from Saratoga Oaks Lodge.
Saratoga Oaks

If this is a romantic getaway, reserve the Toyon Suite. As the name of the lodge implies, the grounds feature gorgeous, well-maintained ancient oak trees and a waterfall toward the back of the lodge that makes you feel miles away from town and nearby Silicon Valley, California.
All rooms feature complimentary internet access, complimentary Direct TV & HBO (not available on my visit) complimentary computer access in the lobby and a continental breakfast from 7: 00 – 11:00 a.m.
Check the website for pricing. Seniors 65 and up receive a 10% discount.
Check in: 2 p.m.
Check out: 11 a.m.

Saratoga Oaks Toyon Suite
The Toyon suite is a private cottage that includes granite counter tops, microwave oven, a gas-log fireplace, large brick patio and separate king bed.
Ladies and gentlemen will want to spend time in the bathroom with its jetted bath tub, steam sauna and Toto toilet. This is no ordinary bathroom toilet. The Toto Washlet is a bidet with heated toilet seat and plenty of bells and whistles – or should I say streams of water?
Insider tip

Whether staying in Saratoga, California for business or pleasure, if you can afford it, splurge on dinner – or at least cocktails – at the Plumed Horse. This Michelin-starred restaurant is within walking distance of Saratoga Oaks Lodge.
Housed in a former stable, the Plumed Horse is a food-lovers delight. Order the ahi tuna tartar with Quail egg and caviar or the black pepper and Parmesan cheese souffle with uni and Dungeness crab.
