Looking for a Eugene, Oregon hotel with a great location? Even Eugene hotel is centrally located to University of Oregon’s Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium. With 100 guest rooms to select from, my Even Eugene hotel review will give you an inside look at this 4-star hotel.

What makes Even Eugene hotel unique?
The wellness hotel in Eugene offers a stress-free stay. There’s a reason so many athletes chose Even Eugene hotel while competing at the IAAF World Championships. (Congratulations to Allyson Felix Oly on her many medals!)
The Eugene hotel is within walking distance to Autzen Stadium and the University of Oregon campus. It also places fitness and well-being top of mind for both its employees and hotel guests. Lots of positive affirmations are written on the hotel walls.

Fitness first for natural high at Even hotels
Upon entrance to Even Eugene I spotted the hydration station. With three types of waters offered to hotel guests, I appreciated the “stay hydrated, stay well” signage before I even made it to the lobby. Filtered and fruit-flavored water stations seem to be the norm at boutique hotels these days. As the city of Eugene, and most of Oregon, is environmentally-focused, I liked that the hotel rooms included reusable water bottles for guests to keep.

Fitness zones in hotel rooms
You don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy a stay at Even Eugene hotel. Certainly, hotel guests may ignore the balance ball tucked into their room if they don’t want to get sweaty. Perhaps the yoga mat or SPRI resistance band are more your speed?
The king deluxe bed is comfortable, with its groovy mood light clock on the night stand. I actually turned on the flat screen tv and watched a Netflix movie on the stream app.
The hotel rooms feature Keurig coffee makers with Portland Coffee Roasters pods, as well as Bigelow tea pods. The glass shower is large enough for two people, but is designed for one tall person with a waterfall showerhead. Beekman shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are in eco-friendly bottles inside the roomy shower.
I would have liked a cotton robe and slippers in the closet for my elevator ride to the swimming pool.

Athletic studio and swimming pool
I didn’t take advantage of the complimentary bicycles, ideal for a ride to Alton Baker Park, or enjoying the river views. I did make it to the athletic studio and pool. The indoor swimming pool is open daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. Additionally, there is a hot tub next to the pool, located on the ground floor.
There’s a shower on the pool deck and towels specifically meant for pool use. I brought a towel from my room down to the pool, which was not necessary.
Finally, the Even Eugene hotel offers a small card with highlighted nearby running routes. There’s a suggested 5.4 mile loop and 2.2 mile loop for the runners, walkers or bike riders amongst us.

Even Kitchen & Bar
The Even Hotel was going through a re-brand on their inhouse restaurant during my visit. Healthy food and beverage options are made to order or packaged to go for guests. Boiled eggs, whole fruit and fruit cups are available in the marketplace, in addition to frittatas, breakfast wraps, omelets and waffles. There’s also bacon, egg & cheese biscuit or steak and egg bowls for the hearty breakfast eaters.
Lunch and dinner options range from salads and sandwiches to steak skewers. Several hotel employees told me to order the Macaroni & Cheese bowl.

On the second floor , the same level as the lobby, is a ping pong room. Eugene does have its rainy days and this would be a fun activity for kids or adults.
Rooms rates range from $129 – $499 depending on time of year and what’s happening at the University of Oregon. I stayed on a Sunday night for a staycation and snagged my king deluxe room with glass shower for $140, plus tax. I’m also an IHG member so I get room upgrades, when available, bottled water and snacks on arrival.

The University of Oregon hotel is pet-friendly, with an additional fee. The third floor is the dog-approved floor in the 4-story hotel. Parking is free at the hotel, as is 1 gig WiFi.
Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m. Enjoy your time in Eugene. There are so many things to do in the Willamette Valley.
