A few years ago, I was swimming with my friend and we were able to take fun underwater pictures in her pool with her LifeProof case. I was so jealous of her case and wished that I didn’t have to be so cautious with my phone. I couldn’t believe we could submerge the phone and it was completely protected! A few years later as I was planning a trip to Costa Rica, I kept thinking about all the awesome water activities we’d be doing (plunging into waterfalls, exploring cloud forests, surfing on Manuel Antonio Beach). I knew we’d be visiting during Costa Rica’s rainy season and I didn’t want this to impact my ability to document the trip. I received a LifeProof case for my iPhone 5 and was overjoyed. When the case arrived, I was impressed by the design, and by how sleek it looked. I made sure to follow the installation instructions and performed the 30 minute underwater test with the case itself to ensure that there were no leaks. After successfully completing that test, I cleaned my iPhone 5 thoroughly to be sure there was no dust or fingerprints on the display or fingerprint button. Then I installed the underwater camera case. When I started using my smartphone, everything worked great — the fingerprint reader, swiping up on the display, all touchscreen actions! In Costa Rica I submerged my phone to get some awesome shots of fish swimming in the ocean.
I brought the phone with me when I explored Costa Rica’s natural hot springs. It was such a relief not to worry about my phone getting water damage during our vacation. When I asked someone to take a photo of my boyfriend and me in our hotel’s infinity pool she went to hop out and dry off her hands. To her dismay, I told her there was no need as my Lifeproof case was completely waterproof. She responded with awe and snapped a few pictures; providing me with memories of our Costa Rican vacation that I will have with me forever. I absolutely love my Lifeproof case. I can’t imagine my life without it!
