What makes this Depoe Bay hotel special?

With 19 rooms to choose from, 18 of the 19 units face Depoe Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Built in the 1940’s by a sea captain, the Inn at Arch Rock has expanded from one building to three. The one-story west building, where we stayed, featured rooms 5-9. The center building is the original two-story property with a 2 bedroom penthouse upstairs. The east building, also two-stories, includes 4 king rooms, 2 double rooms and an ADA hotel room on the ground floor.

Inn at Arch Rock room types

Each room is unique at this Bed and Breakfast style inn on the Oregon coast. Select rooms have gas or electric fireplaces. All but one of the 19 rooms offer an ocean view. The one room that doesn’t offer a water view connects to a room with a view of the ocean. These two rooms are ideal for families traveling with children.

If you are traveling with a large family or several couples, the 2 bedroom penthouse suite sleeps 7. With its stellar ocean views and two private decks, the upstairs penthouse has a kitchen, fireplace and Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Currently, the penthouse has a 2 night minimum. All rooms do not accept pets unless they are service animals.

Depoe Bay ocean views

As mentioned, almost every room at the inn offers Pacific Ocean views. I love that the boutique hotel includes binoculars in each room. These field glasses come in handy for spotting whale spouts. There is a resident gray whale pod that stays in Depoe Bay almost year round. Sure enough, we spotted whales and spouts both days of our Inn at Arch Rock holiday.
