Located in downtown Napa, The Knoll Hotel Napa Valley is a new hotel in northern California wine country. Formerly known as Cambria Hotel, this is now a Tapestry by Hilton. With vineyards and real estate prices at all-time highs, it’s impressive that an upscale hotel has arrived in Napa with reasonably priced rooms. What makes this new downtown Napa hotel worth a reservation? Read on for my first-hand Knoll Hotel Napa Valley review.
The Knoll Hotel Napa Valley, what to expect
Like driving a brand new car, I love staying at a new hotel. The Knoll Hotel Napa Valley is a new Hilton property, as it formerly was a part of the Choice Hotels brand. The Napa hotel will appeal to families, couples and business travelers. On our January visit there were multi-generational families staying at the hotel, as well as visiting nurses using the hotel as their home-away-from home during the week. If you plan to do Napa like a local, you’ll want to read this post before your vacation.
Knoll Hotel Napa Valley dining
When you walk into the downtown Napa hotel, you’ll notice the bright and airy feel. The 2-story lobby is welcoming with a gas fireplace and plenty of places to sit and relax. The 3-star hotel offers 90 rooms that include 6 suites, 1 accessible suite, 4 ADA rooms with the remainder king rooms and double queens.
The new hotel offers both a bar and Mary Elizabeth’s restaurant. There is also a small grab-and-go snack bar behind the reception area for light bites such as yogurt with granola, water, soft drinks and candy bars.
My husband and I ate breakfast at The Knoll hotel every morning. I am a granola geek and rate my breakfast experiences by the granola. I’m pleased to say that the Napa Valley hotel makes a great granola. The avocado toast is also top notch.
What are the property amenities at Knoll Hotel Napa Valley?
Our king parlor suite #420 was a corner room, away from the elevator and near the hydration station. Bring your water bottle, as the hotel offers filtered water stations on every floor. There was also an ice machine and a microwave oven for hotel guests.
Our pet-friendly room rented for $279 mid-week, with prices ranging from $379-$419. There was a safe in the room and Keurig Coffee Maker. The suite included a sofa bed in a separate area if you are traveling with children or a friend. The bedding was premium and the mattress was great.
The bathroom featured a Bluetooth mirror and the walk-in shower included Pure by Gloss bath amenities. I would have liked cotton robes and slippers in the room, but that would have meant higher hotel room prices.
Hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center with Peleton bicycles. The outdoor patio with gas heaters and an outdoor fireplace makes you feel like you are vacationing at a Napa Valley resort. Add in the outdoor hot tub and lounge chairs and you have yourself a party.
What activities are available in downtown Napa?
With over 400 wineries, breweries and distilleries available in the Napa Valley, you will not leave town thirsty. That’s in addition to restaurants on every block, bakeries sprinkled around downtown and Oxbow Market Place within walking distance of Cambria Hotel Napa Valley. For the activity seekers, there are bikes to ride, kayaks to paddle along Napa River and hot air balloons to soar over Napa Valley vineyards.
Hang on tight, you’re in for a wild or relaxing ride when you vacation at Cambria Hotel Napa Valley.
