Get Your Picture Taken by the Town Square Gazebo, Copperopolis, California

The first place I take a visitor from out of town is to The Copperopolis Town Square.

When I crave gold country cuisine, I turn to Panini’s  Italian Grille – get the Copper Classic pizza and save room for the homemade carrot cake or bread pudding.

To escape work I go golfing at Saddle Creek Resort.

For complete quiet, I can hide away at  Lake Tulloch.

If you come to Copperopolis, get your picture taken at the Town Square’s Gazebo or the Historic Plaza in Old Town Copper.

If you have to order one thing off the menu at The Copper Grille, get the fillet.

Copperopolis is my one stop shop for olive oil – the entire town square used to be olive orchards.

When I’m feeling cash-strapped, I go to Snap’s Coffee House in the Town Square – order the cinnamon roll.

For a huge splurge, I go to The Copper Grille at Saddle Creek.

Photo ops in Copperopolis include Lake Tulloch, Town Square and Historic Old Town.

The best vantage points are taken by walking to the top of Table Mountain.

The most random thing about Copperopolis is the Frog Jump and our Annual Parade.

In Copperopolis an active day outdoors involves walking, hiking, boating, jet skiing horseback riding and golfing.

My favorite walking route is the Quail Trail at Saddle Creek.

Copperopolis best museum is The Tower Museum in Old Town.

For a night of dancing, go to Lake Tulloch Resort.

Don’t look for  late night dining in Copperopolis, things close down early.

To find out what’s going on a night or on weekends, read the Union Democrat or the Calaveras Enterprise.

In the spring you should attend the Frog Jump.

In the summer you should attend the Chili Cook Off and Car Show at the Town Square.

In the fall you should visit Yosemite.

In the winter you should go to Bear Valley for Snow Skiing.

A hidden gem in Copperopolis is Copper Valley Trail Rides.

For a great breakfast treat or espresso, go to Snaps in the Town Square.

Just outside of  Copperopolis, you can visit Yosemite. Have lunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel.

The best way to see Copperoplois is to drive and park then walk or bike.

If you have kids, you won’t want to miss: Gold Panning at the Town Square, Jet Skiing on Lake Tulloch, nearby Caves and Caverns and there is always Colombia State Park.
