Future Iditarod Champion Found in Denali Park, Alaska

Future Iditarod Champion? You heard it here first, folks. I could be holding a future Iditarod Champion. According to Four-time Iditarod Champion Jeff King and his staff, you never know which puppy will turn into the next sled dog champion. The puppy that I held was only six weeks old; too soon to have a personality set, so she remained nameless.
King's daughters, Cali, Tessa and Ellen, have been tasked with naming the puppies. Each litter has a theme, thus dogs have been named Simba, Nala, Pumba, Timon. Can you guess the theme?*
Alaska Cruisetour
I was recently in Alaska on a Royal Caribbean Cruisetour. We had been on the Radiance of the Seas ship for several days and were now on the land portion of the tour.
- We visited a Chena Village in Fairbanks
- Took a Natural History Tour in Denali National Park
- Visited the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage
- My personal highlight - the Husky Homestead Tour.
Handful of Huskies by Nancy D. BrownTo me, there is nothing better than playing with puppies. (Okay, there are some things that rank higher than puppies.) Another highlight of the trip was the glorious appearance of Denali or Mount McKinley, which ever name you prefer, while we were in Talkeetna.
I also thoroughly enjoyed eating fresh seafood during my time in Alaska. Check back here for more Alaska highlights.
Check out my YouTube video for more highlights from the Husky Homestead Tour, home to Jeff King's Goose Lake Kennel.

I visited Happy Trails Kennels, a similar facility in Big Lake, just outside of Anchorage. Your video captures the sound beautifully. Brought me right back there!http://www.buserdog.com

They look like sweet dogs.
Cute puppies. My kids would love to have them for their own.
